The Old Testament in Greek, here in the scholarly edition translated by Franeker professor Lambertus Bos (1670-1717). Bos’ translation was deservedly esteemed due to its elegant and accurate interpretation and the source of many reprints. It also contains a preface in Latin containing a critical disquisition on the Septuagint Version together with an account of the preceding principal editions. Bound in a firm brown leather prize binding with red title label, the front and back cover are stamped with a large coat of arms of the city of Amsterdam. The work is illustrated with a frontispiece and 3 maps (2 double-page and 1 folding) 1 double-page plan of Jerusalem and 1 double-page engraving depicting the construdtion of the Tabernacle.)
