Depicting on the front cover the shepherds visiting Jesus in the stable and on the back cover the annunciation to the shepherds in the field, each scene is cornered by two paschal lambs. Both scenes are surrounded by an cut-out ornamental design with in the top-corners a praying child and in the bottom corners and angel with a shepherd’s crook. The spine is decorated with two angles with in the middle an engraved name-plate reading ‘Vera’. Each part of the binding bears silvermarks.)
