(20) p. Rebound half imitation Leather, 4° (Waterstain in the bottom corner of the text block, margin of the final page restored. A very influential pamphlet ascribed to Willem Usselincx, 1567-1647. This work contains a petition to sign up to invest in the WIC, the Dutch West India Company. The WIC had just been founded in 1621 and Usselincx played a large role in the development of the trade company. His vision for the company was not only commercial, he hoped to create a new and better society in the West Indies and this is also expressed in this pamphlet. The work was published in 1622 in 4 different issues, this is the second issue which is even more rare since it has only 1 other known copy.)
